Training and experience:
Degree in statistics, a substantial part of which relates to medical statistics, or equivalent experience.
High level skills in statistics, including use of statistical and programming software packages STATA, or R.
Experience of programming , use of quantitative methods, data analysis and interpretation of longitudinal data derived from large cohort studies.
Experience in paper writing for publications in journals and conference papers is desirable.
Proficient use of statistical software STATA, R
Good verbal and written communication skills are also essential.
Languages: A good level of the English language and working knowledge (intermediate level).
Main duties and tasks:
Data management and statistical analysis of data from the ECRHS and SAPALDIA studies to understand the determinants of lung function decline in adult European population, specifically with regards to
Provide support to researchers (pre/post doctoral) to develop protocols and Statistical Analysis Plan within the Working Group. Provide statistical support to the team.
