Solid State NMR

Solid State NMR

Application fields of solid state NMR are infinite, insoluble polymers, drug polymorphism, petroleum analysis, zeolites characterization, silica surface studies...

Study of heterogeneous samples by HRMAS

Study of heterogeneous samples by HRMAS

By HRMAS we study systems that has some mobility in a non-homogeneous semi-rigid matrix (tissues, gels, polymers ...)

Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP)

Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP)

DNP allows to decrease the detection limit of NMR different scales of magnitude, thus opening up a new world to EXPLORE!

[+]

Complex mixtures analisis

Complex mixtures analisis

We have the necessary equipment for the separation and characterization of minor components in complex samples

[+]

Metabonomic studies

Metabonomic studies

NMR with the help of multivariate statistics allows dynamic visualization of metabolic changes in living systems subjected to external stimuli or genetic disorders.

[+]

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Magnetic Resonance Imaging

MRI at high resolution with applications IN-VIVO and also with the possibility of performing localized spectroscopy.

[+]

Structural characterization

Structural characterization

Structural characterization of chemicals, including organic, inorganic, organometallic or biomolecules.

our last research works at the annual meeting of the European magnetic resonance community EUROMAR 2016 Conference

Yaoyao Wang, visiting PhD student from King’s College London, will be giving a talkentitled “Biomarker and metabolomics: a novel approach to detect drug misuse”.

We received a visit from Gustavo Giraldi Shimamoto who is PhD student and technical NMR at University of Campinas (UNICAMP-Brazil).

PhD thesis dissertation is next Thursday (September 10, 2015) at 11.30am in the Sala d´Actes “Carles Miravitlles” of the Institut de Ciències de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB), Campus UAB. Thesis tittle is “Metabolomics and stoichiometry adapted to the study of environmental impacts on plants” and below you can find an abstract of the work. If you are interested you are very welcome.

Some of the SeRMN staff will present our last research works at the annual meeting of the European magnetic resonance community EUROMAR 2015 Conference that will take place from 5th to 10th July in Prague, Czech Republic. Find below a summary of our contributions.
