Statistical techniques with SAS®

Presentation

Due to recent years computer development the use of statistics has been instrumental in obtaining new knowledge for decision making. The SAS® statistical package is an indispensable tool for datasets manipulation and for its subsequent statistical analysis.

Technical details will not be discussed during the course but an applied vision of the possibilities offered by the program and the results that are presented will be given.

This course is divided into theoretical sessions where different SAS® commands and procedures for the use of different statistical techniques will be presented, and into practical sessions where we will work on data sets to be analyzed.

Course program:

Univariate and bivariate statistics:

  • Univariate Inference.
  • Contingency Tables.
  • Means comparison.
  • Graphical representation.
  • Simple regression / Correlation.

Statistical Models I:

  • Analysis of variance.
  • Multiple regression.
  • General linear model.
  • Mixed models.

Statistical Models II:

  • Logistic regression.
  • Generalised linear model.

Audience:

The Statistical techniques with SAS® course is aimed at everyone with knowledge of Descriptive Statistics, Inference and basic Modelling from a both technical and applied point of view who are interested in being introduced to the use of standard statistical techniques using this statistical package.

People enrolled to two different SAS courses will enjoy 15% of reduction in each course. In this case, the registration must process for both courses together.

 

Organization details:

Dates and timetables of the course can be consulted at the Servei d’Estadística’s website once the course is programmed.

The course duration is 16 hours.

The maximum number of participants is 20.

Pre-registration will be formalized via the Servei d'Estadística Aplicada filling out the registration form that you will find on the web. Once we receive your form we will send an email to confirm that either you have an assigned place or you are on the waiting list.

The minimum number of participants for the course is 10.

Payment details:

Once the pre-registration is completed you will receive an email informing of the details for the registration payment.

People interested in applying for an invoice in the name of a company must state in the payment proof the name of their organization and NOT of the attendant of the course himself. Once the payment of the course has been made there will be no refund unless there are circumstances beyond one’s control.
